The 60m hurdles is a race only contested indoors. It has been run in every IAAF World Indoor Championships and every World Masters Indoor Championships.
There are five hurdles. The height for men starts at 99.1cm. It is reduced to 91.4cm at age 50, to 84cm at age 60, 76.2cm at 70 and 68.6cm for 80+. Women start at a hurdle height of 84cm, which is reduced to 76.2cm at age 40, then 68.6cm for 60+.
It is not a record category maintained at the Centre level, having been added to the New Zealand record lists only recently.
