The 50m Hurdles is a short hurdle distance only ever contested indoors and even in that environment it is only ever run uncommonly.
Records require electronic timing.
It was added to the NZ Indoor Champs programme in 2016.
It is contested at the NZ Indoor Champs as a matter of practicality, due to the limitation of available facilities.
For 50m, electronic times are required. There may be some historical times that predate this requirement marked (h). Where it is not readily evident that a historical hand timed record or electronic time is faster, both will be listed.
