Half Marathon

The half marathon is an event that has grown in popularity over the last 20 years. Unlike the full marathon, it has never been contested at the Olympics or IAAF World Championships but since 1992 it has had its own separate championship.

Since 2002, the World Masters Games has opted for the half marathon distance in place of a 20km road race.

National codes indicate a competitor's given country at time of competition but at the World Masters Games this often does not indicate a competitor's real country.

Records are not tracked and the event is not generally eligible for records due to the general lack of compliance to IAAF/WMA standards.
