part of the World Athletics Cross Country Champs in
Bathurst, Australia, World Masters Athletics designated this
the short course cross country championships to distinguish
it from the standard world masters
cross country championships.
As short course, the distance was set as
6km for the under 65s and 4km for the over 65s,
It remains to be seen whether this
initiative is a one-off or one that will continue in future
years. The next World Athletics Cross Country is scheduled
to be held in Croatia in February 2024. |
