Wellington Masters
Weight Throw |
| The Weight Throw is not an event officially recognised by the IAAF, although a 56lb superweight was contested in the 1904 and 1920 Olympics and is featured in the Scottish Highland games.
The men start with a weight of 15.88kg.
At age 50, the weight reduces to 11.34kg, then 9.08kg at age
60, 7.26kg at age 70 and 5.45kg at age 80. The women start
with 9.08kg, go down to 7.26kg at age 50, 5.45kg at age 60
and 4kg at age 75.
