Oceania Masters
5000m Track Walk
The 5000m track walk is an event that has never appeared at the Olympics. Track walking as a whole has only made sporadic appearances at that level, with 3000m 3500m and 10000m distances appearing up to 1924. After that all walking events were held out of stadia, on road.

The event has only been a part of the standard programme from 1998. Prior to that, it made only an occasional appearance, generally swapping with a 1500m or 3000m track walk.
